Kessingland 2017 Bunting Knitathon

The Kessingland Seewall Art Group have embarked on a new project with the aim of decorating the railings on Kessingland seafront during August 2017.

The Kessingland 2017 Bunting Knitathon invites Kessingland groups and individuals of all ages to get involved in the project.  The bunting will be put up on the railings on Friday 18 August 2017 at 7pm (weather permitting).

A copy of the basic bunting pattern is available from Kessingland Library or via the Kessingland Parish Council website:

Knitting pattern


Individuals are free to be as creative as they like regarding designs on the bunting flags provided they keep to the standard bunting size using knitting needles sized 4mm / UK8 / US6.

Want to learn how to knit?  Free knitting lessons are being provided on Wednesdays to Fridays between 1pm – 3pm at Grandma’s Stash, Unit 6, Henstead Arts & Craft Centre, Toad Row, Henstead, Beccles NR34 7LG.  Just drop in or call 0777 1064 219
